Mary graduated with a degree in Communications from Gordon College in 2003 and set foot on Berea for the first time in June of that year when she arrived to join the summer staff on Program Team. She returned for a second year on summer staff in 2004 and worked on the facilities crew that fall. In spring of 2005 she was hired on the full time program staff as Assistant Director of Programming and in winter of 2010 became a Program Director. Mary loves using her education in the unique ways that a job at camp brings and connecting with the thousands of people – both during programmed retreats and rentals – that come to Berea every year. Her favorite thing at camp is hiring, training and connecting with summer staff to enable them in turn to connect with campers.
